About Destiny Rings

Technology should help usnotice real life.

We believe meeting people in real life should feel natural again.

Real-world connection should feel natural again

Destiny Rings was created around a simple idea: technology has made it easier than ever to connect online, but harder than ever to connect naturally in person.

Dating apps have trained people to spend hours swiping through profiles, making decisions from a screen, and hoping a digital match eventually becomes a real conversation.

The same challenge exists outside dating. Making friends after college can be difficult. Networking often feels forced. People can be surrounded by others every day without knowing who is actually open to meeting someone new.

We believe technology should help create real-world interaction, not replace it.

The idea

Stop making people search for connection.

Help them notice the people already around them.

How it works

Connection starts around you.

Set your intent

Create a profile, set preferences, and choose Dating, Social, or Networking mode.

Discover nearby

Destiny Rings helps surface meaningful opportunities when compatible people are physically nearby.

Decide in real life

Instead of endless swiping, decide whether a real-world moment is actually worth pursuing.

Launch City

Why Hoboken?

Destiny Rings is launching first in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Hoboken is social, walkable, dense, and packed with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, fitness studios, waterfront events, and young professionals.

Rather than launching everywhere at once, we're building community density one city at a time.

Hoboken at night

Built in New Jersey

From idea to hardware.

Destiny Rings is being built in New Jersey by founder Jayson Shin.

What started as an idea evolved into hardware prototypes, Bluetooth-enabled wearable technology, custom software, a mobile application, and a growing community interested in a new way to meet others.

The mission remains the same: less time staring at screens, more time engaging with the world around you.

The bigger vision

Dating is only the beginning.

The same technology can help people discover friendships, professional relationships, communities, and meaningful connections based on shared interests.

The future of connection isn't about replacing human interaction. It's about making human interaction easier.
